Program Partners
We collaborate with many community partners to offer program enhancements and wrap-around services:
Waltham Public Schools: funds a significant portion of the budget of the Waltham Family School, underscoring the institution's pivotal role in fostering educational excellence within the community.
City of Waltham: generously provides program space for free.
Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall: offers summer camp scholarships for children of Waltham Family School families and hosts our annual Fiesta! celebration.
JF&CS: Referrals to Early Connections for trauma and the Circle of Security parenting curriculum focused on attachment
Communities United, Waltham Head Start, and Waltham Public Schools: preschool partners for some children of parents enrolled in Waltham Family School.
Family ACCESS: Raising a Reader early literacy program to encourage reading at home.
WATCH CDC: housing and tenants' rights workshops. Waltham Family School refers families to WATCH’s citizenship classes.
Charles River Community Health: parent health screenings.
Mount Auburn Hospital: diabetes, breast health, and cancer awareness workshops.
REACH: counseling for parents affected by domestic violence.
Healthy Waltham: food access through food banks and healthy eating/ living consultation.
Waltham Public Library: monthly book baskets aligned with the curriculum. WPL Literacy Librarian hosts regular library visits for Waltham Family School parents, all of whom receive library cards
Brandeis and Bentley Universities: volunteers assist in preschool and adult classes, as well as development efforts for the Friends of the Waltham Family School.
Waltham Partnership for Youth: summer Waltham Family School internships for secondary students
